  1. I don’t know how…. but my computer is dead, I’m checking loose connections and it’s not working at all…. can you please give me some insight on what I might have pulled, I know for sure I accidentally unclipped the white and black wires next to the ssd area, plugged them back in but other than that I’m not sure

  2. I am ready to buying this laptop With this 4gb internal+8gb ram=12gb ram
And 128ssd+240gb=368gb memory i can handle Photoshop and premier pro softwares with Windows 10 are should I have to increase the ram to 16 gb plzz reply sir

  3. I bought this laptop used from amazon. The Laptop works great! But i've hit a snag in that they didn't included the packaged screws used to fasten the hdd/ssd to the mounting bracket. What kind of screws are they? I'm hoping I can just visit a tech store and they'll be carrying it, but if not I'm wondering if I can just go to a hardware store and see if they carry that specific size. any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  4. Thanks for making this video, followed it to the T. Everything worked out great. Ended up with 32gb of RAM (16gb x 2) and 1T SSD. Got this laptop for my wife and I went with the most ram cuz she likes to have 78 tabs open while watching Friends, and dump all her photos and videos from her phone when it get full🙄. Didn't know you had or how to formate the new hard drive, but figured it out on the Google.

  5. in mexico cost me $350 us.. i really liket it except i cant change that pcinvme.. because bios cant disable uefi.. please i already bought 512gb xpg pcinvme but bios dont let boot even from usb.. please help. the sata slot already use a 2tb mechanical drive.. but i need more ssd storage.

  6. got the older model Acer Aspire 5 with 8th gen Intel Core-i5, should I have gotten the less expensive model if I want to upgrade storage anyway? it was on special for 399, so I got the i5..ty so much for your videos!

  7. Just to close the loop, I did remove the Samsung SSD and reinstalled and it is working now. Maybe the ribbon cable was not seated well enough, or the system just needed to be reset/refreshed. Some crazy glitch but all is good now. Sorry to waste your time, and thank you.

  8. So, I see in your video that you switch from the Samsung 860 EVO to actually installing a SanDisk SSD. I installed the Samsung 860 EVO and again cannot get Windows to recognize the SSD drive…anywhere. I am installing on the Acer Aspire 5 with the AMD Ryzer 3 processor, model A515-43-R19L. Do you or anyone have ideas to get Windows to recognize this added SSD? I see that Crucial does not even identify a SATA SSD drive that is compatible with this Acer, only a M.2 PCIe upgrade. Possible this Samsung 860 EVO SATA SSD is simply not compatible (yet) with this laptop? Or another issue, possibly with drive itself, ribbon cable, etc.? Can you or anyone help?

  9. See, i'll get an acer aspire 5 that comes with a 2tb mechanical hdd and an empty m.2 slot. What i'd really like to do is to clone whatever's in the 2tb mechanical hdd and put it in a samsung evo plus 256gb nvme ssd and use it as the boot device

  10. I installed the Samsung 8G memory and the Samsung 860 EVO 500G SATA SSD. Memory is being recognized and working fine. SSD is NOT showing up anywhere. Install went fine but I had to flip the drive over with the large SAMSUNG logo on top to get the cable connected between SSD and MB, but that was just a simple flip over to get the connectors close enough to connect. But I cannot get the SSD drive to show up anywhere in Windows (device manager, etc.). Thoughts? Is there a compatibility issue between Samsung SSD and AMD Ryzen? Drivers need to be updated or something? Or maybe install was wrong? Please…ideas!!! Thank you!
